Today's delivery is brought to you by The Spyrals. This San Franciscan trio is doing their damned best to keep the trippy sound of pysch-rock alive and well. Most of their songs are pretty high energy which is great but you know I'm looking for the chill one out of the bunch. Looking at their recently released self titled debut album, I wasn't expecting the task to be this difficult. Because even the fast paced songs have a very psychedelic feel which can give you a chill vibe if you don't completely follow the beat of the drum. In the end I had to go with the track "Disguise" as it invokes the very surreal feeling of the beach lifestyle in the late '50s, which most of us have not experienced first hand. And, on top of this nostalgic wave-riding vibe, you are presented with a great rock song that would easily be featured in main intro of the next Quentin Tarantino movie.
