Today's delivery is brought to you by Mo Kolours & Beautiful Swimmers. Now, Mo Kolours is one of those artists that just makes sense to be featured on this site. They seem to incorporate an endless amount of influences and wrap it up in a new package. He dropped his first EP, Drum Talking, last year and now has just released his second, EP2: Banana Wine. This new project houses more of that massive genre blending that his first one has, touching on afrobeat/tribal to house. The track I'm bringing to you today, from the new LP, is called "Mini Culcha" and I'm actually picking the remix version done by Beautiful Swimmers.
The modification that Beautiful Swimmers makes on the track is subtle yet changes everything. They took a song that was originally a bit more fast-paced and tribal and changed it into a downtempo/deep-house type feel. You will need to listen to both to get what I'm saying but, like I said, the small change is huge. But, in the end, both are amazing so I'll let you decide.
