San Francisco rapper/producer Ayentee has embarked on an ambitious serial project which will feature Frankensteined albums featuring various artists. The objective of the projects, as Ayentee explained on his Bandcamp page, is to collect various verses from different artists in an attempt to "craft an album as if they were all in the studio working together." While big threes are proving to be the hottest thing in the NBA, it's not commonplace to find three heavyweight rappers collaborating together on an entire project these days. Thus, we have Ayentee and his Frankensteined Series.

The  inaugural installment, aptly titled Mos Common Thought, features a collection of verses from hip-hop titans Mos Def  (also known as Yasiin Bey), Common and one of the more underrated wordsmiths in the game, The Roots' Black Thought. In addition to combining noteworthy verses from three legendary emcees, Ayentee's album is a hip hop regional appetizer of sorts featuring artists hailing from Brooklyn, Chicago and Philadelphia respectively.

Check out the first installment and be on the lookout for future "Frankensteined" volumes.
