Moonbootica, a Hamburg based DJ and producer team composed of “koweSix” & “tobitob”, released their new EP called Iconic. The EP comes as a double release on Herve's well known Cheap Thrills and German Four Music label. Both released remixes for several German artists and even their own productions on their native imprint Moonboutique, which provides us with singles by Stereofunk, Malente and more.
With the new EP, Moonbootica are supported by a wide variety of remixes from German DJs and producers with completely different styles. TAI, who drops his new EP soon on Dim Mak Records, gives the original a distinctive look with his distorded vocals used as the main synth. Also, the Hamburg-based Dirty Disco Youth turns "Iconic" into an aggressive electro banger, as well as Dusseldorf based Lorenz Rhode who gives his track a magical funkalicious style.

Funny how we used to think of icons as being really big, like paintings in churches or lone-standing statues, but now we think of icons as being really small, like pics to click on an Iphone. Linguists will tell you that an icon is a sign whose form directly reflects the thing it signifies. So yes, Moonbootica? Iconic. Makes sense. Iconic is a club track with a video you can't forget.
