VA – Futureboogie Presents 10 Year Anniversary Compilation

Longstanding and highly regarded disco agency Futureboogie is celebrating a decade's worth of hustle and frolic as it caps off 10 years in business with a massive compilation of some signed cherished talent. Call it a house monument, 10 tracks make up the label's first CD release and with buzzing names like Eats Everything, Waifs & Strays, and Maxxi Soundsystem on the liner Futureboogie without a doubt will age well into the future. As a hometown imprint that helped spark the Bristol explosion take heed of the fosters El Harvo, Joe 90, and Kid Bongo (pictured left to right) who pioneered the moniker by throwing parties that cultivated the local talent later heard abroad. Releasing works like "Is This Something" by Coat of Arms off the Summer Riot EP and Julio Bashmore's The Force in its first year of operation, the label has marked a testament to topping the charts of true tastemakers across the board.

And now, Futureboogie 10 brands their trademark into a pool of grass root labels sure to be written down in house history at some point of their lifespan. Set off by a soothing sax doodle by Typesun who adds a rousing groove to foster what I would call elevator house music. Then warming up to two divorced tracks by Behling & Simpson, the former fleshing out a bassy highlight called "Last Chance". A collaboration between Lukas & Eats Everything is hard not to note as the pair curate a tasty dish of thumping house beats. To close Lukas takes the stage again to tear the boog off with his knack of dominating piano chords and an acid house breakdown (sirens et al) that teases the reigning in of the Futureboogie brand for years to come.
