Pixelord – "Imaginary Friends" [Earmilk Exclusive]

You may or may not know Pixelord by name, but there's a decent chance you've encountered his music — he's seen features in mixes by the likes of SBTRKT, LV, and many others, and the popularity of his music for those in the know is totally unsurprising. Coming out of Moscow, Alexey Devyanin's playful, wonky beats really stand out within a genre that, despite its range of really enjoyable music, can also sometimes feel formulaic. Pixelord interlaces hip-hop beats with smooth, glamorous rhythms, digital bleeps, and perfectly-placed vocal tidbits to create tracks that are a standout in any set. His latest EP, Keramika, is no different, with three original tracks plus a remix of "Imaginary Friends" by 8-bit darling Groundislava.

Pixelord said of the EP, "I'm definitely proud of this EP. I made the first version about a year ago, and still love it. I always play these tracks at gigs, and they get the best response." Keramika was released February 13 on Hit and Hope (HNH005). You can stream "Imaginary Friends" exclusively on Earmilk below!
