"Shoot Me Down" kicks off with a rock/blues guitar solo that immediately had my mind jumping to the hey day of air guitars, awful mullets and sparkly skin tights onesies. If you think that is a bad thing you are sorely mistaken. The track then takes a more indie pop turn and boasts a catchy hook and sing along chorus. Johan Reinhold's voice seems to permeate between blues, pop/rock and fashionable indie styling. You could easily draw some comparisons with Alex Clare.
The EP marks a re-work of a previous version of Shoot Me Down, which also means the artwork was "re-worked" by Johan himself who is slated to be a very skilled designer as well as Grammy nominated singer/songwriter.
Beyond the single one of the most exciting tracks on the EP comes from Owsey who goes heavy and deep on the bass but very easy and ambient on the ears. The track runs for 7 minutes and somehow gets away without becoming boring throughout, whilst creating a beautiful bath of noise that you can soak in and get taken away with the echoing vocals from Johan.
