Providence, Rhode Island's AraabMuzik (Abraham Orellana–the main in-house producer for the Dipset crew) has not only been successful as a producer for a roster of artists, but also plays his own live sets and recently released his own LP (Electronic Dream). It's not every day that our music industry encounters someone who brings a unique sound to the table. Electronic music is saturated with unoriginal, prematurely released productions. That said, AraabMuzik's unique feel is one that I look forward to hearing more of in the future. He plays with a multitude of electronic genres within his studio-produced tracks, and he is a beast to watch perform live. One word can only describe him after watching the work he does with an MPC: phenomenal. AraabMuzik makes working with an MPC look easy. It's quite clear based off of his live sets how deeply rooted his talent for music lies within him.
When asked who influences his music, he claims in "his beats still lies a blueprint from the influences of Dr. Dre, Swizz Beats, Alchemist, Just Blaze, Scram Jones, Pete Rock, 9th Wonder, Hi-Tek, DJ Khalil and Heatmakers." Alongside the video below, I'm also posting one of AraabMuzik's tracks for you to listen to if you're unfamiliar. "Streetz Tonight" is an example of one of his tracks from his album that dropped in June, Electronic Dream. The album is older, but gives you a good glimpse into a lot of the feel his music provides when it's not live. The title of the album is the best way to describe the auditory experience it provides.
