Old Flame Records are responsible for exciting bands like Unouomedude, Letting Up Despite Great Faults, and my new favorite chillwave artist Millionyoung. Earlier this year, Millionyoung released Replicants, and the entire collection is filtered with computer melodies and sentimental heartaches. My top pick is actually the 11th track entitled "Sentimental."
Mike Diaz is the man pictured and the man behind Millionyoung. He comes from Florida but the band is currently on tour with a few appearances for CMJ. Just to name a couple, Friday, October 21st, Millionyoung will be playing a FREE show with Monogold at the Bird Dog showcase. October 22nd, Millionyoung will be at the Pulp Lab//Paper Trail//Sky Report showcase with Beat Connection and many other bands worth checking out. If you are located anywhere near New York, I suggest attending one or both of these performances.
