Avicii, Casette & Giddy stole me away the other night in London Ontario for frosh week. The night started late when my friends car was stuck in a trail and had to get towed out… Bad memories. Luckily, after driving to the show we emerged part way through Giddy's set to see the crowd was massive and the energy was through the roof. I instantly was ready to party. Giddy played an assortment of material that had the crowd at a level so hysteric it was comparable to Avicii's set later on.
Cassettes set was almost trance and had everyone jumping in the tight crowd but not giving a f**k from being overpowered by the music. After Cassette toyed with the crowd playing thumping beats mixed with hypnotic lights we were all thrown into a daze. With everyone in a trance it was perfect timing for Avicii to come out. Watching from the side lines I could see the crowds explosion of excitement when Avicii was introduced and saw a smooth smile creep across his face as he walked up on stage.
Immediately his recent single "Fade into Darkness" was echoing throughout the entire tent and I knew that it was going to be a good show. The night felt like it would go on for ever and I, as well as the crowd, was loving every bit of it. The energy throughout the whole entire night was insane as London's University and College students did not loose any excitement from the beginning of the night to the end.
One of the best tracks played in the night was a club mix of Swedish House Mafia's "Save the World." As soon as it came on there was a outburst of cries from the crowd followed by everyone signing the lyrics as the energy was taken to a whole new level.
The night overall was a amazing time. The show was put on my Premier Life who if your from London or any area surrounding are going to want to check out their Tent Party Festival on September 30 and October 1, which you can do here. Tent Party Festival is going to have big acts like Steve Angello, Dirty South and more.
