An interesting track from Patrice Baumel was released earlier this summer via Amersterdam's Trouw recordings. "Mike Tyson" boasts experimental looping in combination with unique punching kick-drum doublets. The track sounds like a mix of The Field and more experimental drum patterns in Baumel style, but there are aspects of traditional house music that leak into the mix. While the track itself is a stand-alone listen, it works wonders into a busy DJ set.
The 12" is accompanied by a remix by Max Cooper, as well as the single's B-side, entitled "The Threat."
