I'm a fan of anything Damon does…but, this is a serious departure from what he's done before (its closest sound is from when he recorded Mali Music). The above track is from an album that he has recorded in the Congo with his old pal, Dan the Automater. Check it out if you want something a lot better than background music.
It seems like his life as a musical nomad continues. I can't think of another musician that's covered as many cultural sounds as this guy has. Can you?
