About a year and a half ago Matias Aguayo released Ay Ay Ay; an LP that stretches the popular notion of techno so much so that listening to it you wouldn't think the man behind it has released an entire catalog of dance music.  The album boasts complex vocal arrangements and actually uses very few audible synthesizers, and–although most of the percussion is electronic based–Ay Ay Ay has an undeniably organic feel to it.  Unconventional for even the massive label-turned-distributor Kompakt, Ay Ay Ay is definitely an interesting piece of art.  Each song on the album has its own qualities, but something about "Rollerskate" just continues to make me smile.  Ay Ay Ay is simply a great album for anytime, anywhere.  When it comes to Matias Aguayo, one can't help but be inspired by his no-limit creativity.

Here's Matias Aguayo's video for "Rollerskate," quite a take on the 'music video' indeed.
