Nashville's own throwback wonderboys Jensen Sportag have been keeping themselves pretty busy. Earlier this week they dropped "The Wet Mix", a companion piece to their wildly successful Cascine Records release Pure Wet. Just yesterday they released their remix of "Wait In The Dark"-the debut single off the upcoming Memory Tapes release Player Piano, which is due out July 5 via Carpark Records. When you combine two ultra-hip, synth-poppers and you get something wildly beautiful. Jensen Sportag gives the track just the right amount of power to keep it afloat without crowding out the eclectic production that makes the original version so memorable. The smooth guitar riff does wonders in adding another layer of complexity, and it really lightens the mood on this summer sleeper-hit-to-be.
