Devonté Hynes (aka Blood Orange) has produced for the likes of Cassie, Basement Jaxx, and even the ubiquitous indie-pop princess Florence and the Machine. Somehow, Hynes found time to record his own chill-surf-pop stylings and release it under the pseudonym "Blood Orange". His new album Coastal Grooves is due out August 8 via Domino Records; the LP's lead single "Sutphin Boulevard" was released in early June, and now-just yesterday-a second track dropped. "The Complete Knock" grooves with hi-hat hiccups, clean, chiming guitar motifs, and ominous piano chords. Hynes' timbre is spectacular, but what makes him really talented-as a producer-is his ability to create new rhythms by layering vocal tracks. This song does not disappoint…
