There are thousands of popular artists out there today making new singles all the time. With the increase of bedroom producers though, the ability to simply download a whole studio that you can use right on your lap has made original songs more scarce. Now it seems that your finding tens of thousands of remixes by artists with more and more ludicrous names, leaving you wondering "Transexual Viking Sword Bro- what???." This weekly segment will bring you the popular remixes and the never heard of "Transexual Viking Sword Brothers" remixes of a (common) artist's singles. From all these bedroom producers we are seeing one thing, and that is absolutely fantastic, manipulated, warped remixes.
The artist that is being remixed today is Katy Perry. Katy Perry has been a main name in the top 40 music for quite some time now and remixes of her can be found everywhere over the internet. Some are good, some are crap. Since becoming popular Katy has released songs featuring big names like Kanye West and Snoop Dogg. Katy Perry's vocals and pop sounds seem to be doing something right for her to maintain on the top charts. Her music has been described as a 'pop sensational feel good vibe' (at least its what my friend tells me.) Even though some of you will be like "Katy Perry? Why not Justice?!? why not Daft Punk!?! Why not whoever?!" i'll tell you now, i will get around to 'whoever' and the katy perry remixes will be perfect to play at any party so enjoy them tell next week!
Here are the most popular remixes of Katy Perry songs, not extremely popular but the most hype that makes this category. There were none really that stuck out as being the MOST popular. Highlight is the Kaskade Remix.
EURO TECHNO REMIXES
After looking for more 'chill' remixes and finding hardly any, I decided to have a euro techno remix section instead. Yes Euro techno, i know the last time you really heard it was when Basshunter came out with Dota but it can still get you dancing! Don't believe me? Just give these tunes a listen! Highlight would be the Technobase remix.
Here are you more "electro" remixes, the real meat and potatoes of what you readers want in your digest. This is the main course if you will and my favourite category of the remixes. Highlight would be the Jump Smokers Remix.
Dubstep, dubstep, dubstep. Can any "Artist Remixed" post be complete without this segment? I think not! Yet again readers, ALOT of crap was found. it seems the meek amount of dubstep that really reaches us by names like Skrillex and Nero should really stay at that meek level. Because when you start venturing out it's not that pretty of a sight. Yet again, the cream of the crop out there. Highlight would be the Biometrix Remix.
Here are your less popular remixes that I came across that are really hidden tracks, tucked away in the dusty corners of soundcloud and youtube waiting to be discovered. I went the step extra on these tracks making sure each only had less than 5000 views on youtube. It's crazy that they have such little amounts of views yet still are insanely good. For instance, highlighting the OmniWay remix! Probably the second best remix on here. I had a hard time picking between this remix and the one that is in my overall favourite spot, and it only has 1000 views on youtube.
OVERALL FAVOURITE REMIX
With getting overloaded finding so many remixes it was decently hard to pick a favourite. In the end, my love for the Bombs Away pulled through and i just had to pick it. The main reason I picked this remix is because of the chills it sends through you. The first pause at that first drop gives me shivers everytime. The pump-up electro feel good vibe this song has is absolutely amazing. I remember the first time i heard it, a music demon ripped through me, taking over control making me dance and fist pump which i had no control over. The build ups and screaming synths work in harmony to create an amazing 6 minute experience that some might say is even better than sex.
Make sure you follow Katy Perry on her

P.S. It'd be so awesome if Katy Perry herself saw this post and commented on it! We should all try and make that happen by posting it as our statuses on Facebook, Twitter, or whatever!
