Today's delivery is brought to you by The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble. This group originally got together to try to create the sounds present in dark psychological thriller movies. They remind me of a jazzier version of Massive Attack but still have that ever present darkness to their whole persona. And, much like Massive attack; The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble are able to create such rich soundscapes that you just assume it was made for a movie score. A dark movie with a jazzy twist. The track I'm bringing to you today is "Les Etoiles Mutantes"(which means "A Whales Vagina") and is from their recently released album entitled From The Stairwell. So, from my description of their sound; you should expect this sound to have varying "moods" but ultimately having a very chill and somber vibe. All their tracks have many "acts" and so you have to be prepared for the ride….the entire ride.
