John Legend - Rolling In The Deep Feat. Kenton Dunson (Kenton Dunson Remix)

We just recently posted up that a capella version of "Rolling In The Deep" from John Legend and although it was well received; many people wondered if it would of been even better with some instrumentals. Now, Kenton Dunson has brought us this new remix that does just that. This version adds in a perfect amount of instrumentals along with the amazing arrangement brought to you by Kenton, and also features him doing some vocal work. These two guys need to officially work together. Check out the remix below.

  • terrible remix. it took away from the purity & deep soul of the cover.

  • Found his own stuff http://www.kentondunson.com

This guy actually has talent. I also just listened to the intro John L. put out.....K D definitely created a new twist on it. Adele is amazing and her original is awesome, but at least he created is own twist. Cheers!

  • i like it but i feel like his rapping doesnt fit with the song. his rhymes are nice but there's a time and a place. the addition of instrumentals does help tho

  • Oh, my god, rappers, leave great songs alone already, fuuuuuck. Stop using someone else's notoriety to shamelessly build your name. If you flip the song but avoid naming the artist in the process, fine, you're pushing product based on the merits you developed for yourself. But this "remix" shit is getting about as bad as the mash-up scene after Girl Talk made it okay for music fans to synthesize their love for hair metal and smooth jazz and call themselves "sonic artists". Fucking shit already. Not to mention most of these rappers are like a poor man's J. Cole. And I only say all of this because I'm envious that these marketing ploys actually work for artists.

    • You do realize that Kenton Dunson didn't just rap over a John Legend song, right? John Legend created an acapella cover of Adele's "Rolling In The Deep". He produced the beat behind this remix and added a couple verses. Can you really hate on that?

  • I think the only reason we have mixed feelings about this track is because of the original. Just try to imagine this without Adele's version (which is hard, I admit, myself liking the original better). However, I think the instrumentals go very well with Legend's voice. The rapping doesn't really fit because of the soul Adele intended in her song. Denton's style of rapping though kind of fits with the song overall. So just appreciate it
