The Brief Unsubstantiated Story of… The Boomzers

The Boomzers

They waste no time – they go straight for the throat. Part of the youth that's been inspired by the electro way of 2006 (so I suspect) these Italian electro over-the-toppers have tunnel vision – they want you to get the fuck up and are swinging for an aneurysm on the way up – they are The Boomzers.

Speaking of on the way up, they are another one of those hard working self-marketers of the new dance music scene – the web. They've worked quite hard remixing everything they can, and even winning a few remix competitions on route – with collaborations with HAEZER and close ties in material and support with many of the other emerging online floor favourites such as FCKN CREW, F.O.O.L, Drivepilot, et al.

They have been releasing material on CRUX Records, a label which seems to be picking up a lot of these new electro outfits that I keep on stumbling across – for instance they've released much of the original material of Dj Atention who we are all recognizing from those Rapid Fire remixes. The Boomzers and the growing CRUX roster should together give them that extra boost and beer money they all need to really mature their sound into something more (albeit thrashy).

And for those that might not appreciate the straight electro these guys seem to churn out, you should just wait and see – the ability to go from noon to midnight in 5 seconds flat will come in handy when more support brings access to more equipment, source material, and collaborations – check for these guys in a couple of months.

or right now in their latest on CRUX entitled "WTF!" featured HAEZER, Aerotronic and Ikki
