Chill…
Today's delivery is brought to you by Fat Freddy's Drop. This is a 7 member "Jam Band" that hails from Wellington, New Zealand and luckily I was introduced to these guys by my girlfriend on one of those randomly chill nights. I couldn't believe that I had never heard of them because they make some of the greatest reggae-esque music I've ever heard. The best part of the group is their ability to mix so many genres into a chilled out reggae feel without seeming like they are trying hard. An interesting fact about the origin of their name is that it came from a popular LSD strain at the time of their formation that had an image of "Fat Freddy's Cat" which is a character from a comic. The track I'm bringing to you today is called "Midnight Marauders" and it dropped back in 2003. This is the type of track you have to play over and over while you melt away your worries. Check out the track and chill….
