6pm, an indie pop duo from Galicia (Spain) who just released their EP Tape Worms for free. Realizing that having people listen to your music and then buy it just might be more valuable then asking people to buy blind. Anyway, w/out getting into any mp3 or DRM talk lets just talk about the band and their music.
After a chance meeting at the Conservatory of Santiago de Compostela (Spain) in 2003 – Raúl Món and Iván Oubiña formed 6pm. A light blend of Indie, pop, and a macbook make for some glitchy undertones and thinly sliced drum beats but nothing so overwhelming that would push them as a primarily electronic act.
6pm maintains an overall organic feel by only using the glory of digital instrumentation as needed – a refreshing thing to hear in the over produced world we live in.
6pm keeps your feet tapping the half step and your head following 2nds – and I like it. Reminds me of a Summerbirds in the Cellar :)
