D. King, an emcee hailing from Baltimore, recently joined forces with fellow Clipper City native Tate Kobang for his fiery new single "Light It Up." The catchy record — which features some flawless production from DJ Krisis — isn't your average roll-it-up-and-smoke-it joint, but rather D. King's gloomy narrative of a typical day in his city.

Tate Kobang also provides a solid complimentary verse that adds some refreshing melodic texture to the joint.
D. King's collaboration with Tate Kobang is yet another promising effort in what's been a resurgent year for Baltimore hip hop. Look out for King's upcoming debut EP Trap Man On Campus, hosted by Combat Jack. Moreover, expect a video for "Light It Up" to drop sooner rather than later. Stay woke!
