It's fair to say that strip club anthems from the likes of Juicy J and Future have been well travelled this year, managing to find their ways into the ears of a large population of the world. These kind of songs go hand in hand with the twerking phenomenon which has grown uncontrollably in recent months. Well today we have a bit of a twist on the old cliched booty shakin' tracks that you may have heard across the radio, with a new single from LA native Kidd Upstairs.
"401(k)" is the latest single from the Top Floor signee, and whilst SHRVZ has provided a twerkable instrumental for the ladies to get down to, Kidd has set the lyrics on a more sombre tone. Although he does keep some of the kinda content you'd expect from a track of this nature, he also has a more down to earth meaning to it, with themes of getting an education and a good job coming to the forefront of this track. The message behind "401(k)" is that there's nothing wrong with twerking and getting liquored up on the weekends, but you've got to control your own destiny. As he puts it: "Better get on your J.O.B., you can't live on that savings account forever".
