Chill…
Today's delivery is brought to you by Dday One. Now, I'm going to be honest with you by saying that although today's track isn't new, by any means; it's always good to take a break from the new wave of music and dwindle on a sound you know you love. Today's pick comes from Dday One's album Heavy Migration which was released all the way back in 2008 and I've always felt he never really got the exposure he deserves. His music is highly eclectic and is able to capture the sound of everyday city life with such amazing effectiveness, considering there's usually not many vocals used. And, overall, I'd say his sound takes jazzy downtempo music and injects it with the essence of night life in a city. This isn't always the case of his music but this encompasses a lot of it but i'll admit it's pretty difficult to "pigeon hole" his style. The track I'm bringing to you today is called "One Giant Step" which starts of with the soothing sound of a slowly strummed guitar and then the presentation takes a slight shift with the addition of the aforementioned "injection". Check out the track and chill…..
