Each Labor Day Weekend, New York City gets its moment in the electronic music spotlight. The dance music scene ascends upon Randall's Island Park for Electric Zoo – this year, a Wild Island-themed haven for house music fans. Electric Zoo finished its seventh year in New York City this holiday weekend, and despite controversy in past years, 2016 went off without any issues. With headliners Bassnectar, Carnage, Porter Robinson, Tiesto, Hardwell and The Chainsmokers, the festival brought in dance's biggest crossover acts as well as curated stages from Anjunadeep, Buygore, ANTS and Dim Mak's celebratory 20th anniversary stage. As usual, the weekend began calmly but went out with a bang, with E Zoo selling out Saturday and Sunday.
