At this point, we hope you've heard us loud and clear: New York City's greatest new venue is Slake. Though the name might not fall off the tongue so easily, the venue is an easy no frills way to see the best in dance music. This weekend the venue is launching its first party series entitled TECHNOIR, and will feature a sequence of artists that should be on your list to see. Inspired by film noir and the darkness that seems to take over as the night goes on, TECHNOIR's launch will feature one of disco's most promising acts, Solidisco. The New York natives are known for their out of the box thinking in their music-making, and will bring their act along with The Golden Pony and of course Alex English to Slake this Saturday Feburary 15th.
