Valhalla Sound Circus announced today they will now take place in Namur, Quebec instead of Saint-André-Avellin on July 20th to 23rd, 2018 and for future years ahead. The former site can no longer accommodate Valhalla's growing attendance, so they've moved to a new town just 15 minutes away from the last. There will be free drinking water and showers on site for all campers. All stages remain the same.
The festival will go full fury with a vibrant 72 hours straight of Drum & Bass, Dubstep, Jungle, Experimental House, and much much more. Located deep inside Quebec, away from all the city restrictions and bylaws, the festival takes place from Friday at 11am all the way straight to Monday at 11am.
They're not kidding when they talk about their commitment to creating a safe and unique space for festival attendees from all over to come and get lost in this magical world. From fire breathing dragons, extravagant dancers, costumed ravers, and a stunning sound system, Valhalla is definitely setting the bar high for camping festivals in Canada. Check out the recap video from last year to see for yourself a glimpse of what to expect.
The festival will see several back to back sets on top over all three days. Find the full set list for all 72 hours below.
Friday will host some of the hottest artists on the roaster, including Boogie T, SQUNTO, Riot Ten, Delta Heavy, and Liquid Stranger. The list goes on and on and is sure not to be one to miss. Perhaps the most noteworthy back to back set is Downlink and PhaseOne from 3am to 4am on The Thunder Ground stage.
On Saturday, head bangers will get a deathly dose of dubstep when Sullivan King starts at 10pm before Megalodon goes b2b with BadKlaat till midnight. Funtcase, the man with the mask from England, performs till 1am before Black Sun Empire and State of Mind keep the mood going.
There is a special performance from the trio Foreign Beggars, before Canada's East Coast DnB artist Kytami will make a late night transition towards a mellow and melodic set.
The local Hive stage is sure to make some commotion on the Saturday with artists like Dead Noise System, Substance, and Subdocta all playing throughout the day as well.
Valhalla seems to be one of those experiences where you can get completely lost in the crowd and still feel at home amongst friends. Even one look at the side legend for each day shows a lot of activities and workshops that campers and attendees can check out.
Highlights for Sunday's list of artists include HE$H on at 8:30 to 9:30, he's going to play a more hip hop dubstep infused set. Also on a similar time is Toronto legend Hydee via the Drakkar Stage. Hydee is playing from approximately 9pm to 10pm and will be bringing home the dnb. Eprom for an After Hours show is not to be missed either. The Dirtybirds Label artist definitely has some fire up his sleeve.
Over all the line up for Valhalla Sound Circus is mental this year and we can't wait to be there this coming weekend. Remember to pack light, carry your important objects on you at all times, and bring a lot of food if you're camping out for the whole weekend.
Single day passes are on sale only at the door of each day from 10am to the following 10am.
Friday is $110, Saturday is $100, and Sunday is $80.
