On June 20th New York City’s scenic Hudson River Park’s Pier 84 was transformed into a dance haven for the launch of THUMP’S new music channel Up Next. The new electronic dance music and culture channel, THUMP, got together with some good friends to celebrate the launch of their new music section. Featuring live performances by Zedd, Duke Dumont, and TOKiMONSTA the night was one to remember.
With a beautiful backdrop, some awesome tunes, and some serious fireworks to top it all off, the THUMP guys got it right. While concertgoers danced through the sunset, the DJs played in one of the most unique booths I have had the pleasure of seeing. Encapsulated in an LED globe of sorts the stage was designed by 1024 architecture. Another unique aspect: the first ever-interactive firework show. At around 9:40 the partygoers with one of the Samsung Galaxy phone devices scattered around the grounds were personally able shoot fireworks into the sky with the a single touch of a button.
So why did they go all out? Well, the newly launched Up Next section on THUMP will be our latest outlet to provide us with the freshest sounds and artists from every angle. From the fans to the creative process and all the way down to the dance floor experience, Up Next will be your one stop destination. The section will include features on the future of dance music, original content, exclusive music video premieres, artist profiles, exciting stories and curated mixes from rising artists. Head on over to THUMP to see for yourself.
