The already-stacked Moogfest lineup received its cherry on top today, with the additions of Grimes, Miike Snow, Bob Moses, Health, Skepta, The Black Madonna, EMA, and more. They join Odesza, Laurie Anderson, GZA, Blood Orange, Ryan Hemsworth, and many more for what is sure to be one of the most eclectic events of the year. It's all going down May 19-22, in a new location – Durham, North Carolina.
You can now also stream Volume 2 of Moogfest's Translational Drifts EP series. While the first installment featured covers of classic electronic tracks by contemporary musicians, Vol. 2 takes things a step further, with these covers being remixed by a third artist. For example, Taz Arnold's cover of Kraftwerk's "The Telephone Call" gets remixed by Nosaj Thing. The series is just the latest example of Moog's unimpeachable position on the front lines of music innovation. Moogfest is not just a festival, it's a lecture conference, a circuitry seminar, a think tank. It is a gathering of the nerds. Be there or be square.
