Famed for his lively tribal house and percussive sounds, through producion and sets, Krissy Peers aka Melé is the 25-year-old artist from The Wirral who's spent the last 12 years crafting and honing his skills to become a well-respected name across the house board. From being a favourite with far-out family Elrow to appearing on lineups from The Warehouse Project, Tomrorowland, Fabric and Defected Festival in Croatia to name but few, Melé is a constant provider of good times and expert track selection. With all this being said, it comes as no surprise that Defected have chosen Melé to provide their latest 'In The House' mix – joining the likes of Camelphat, Franky Rizardo and Sonny Fodera on the legendary label.

Describing working on the mixes as “like putting together a really hard jigsaw puzzle”, Melé’s 'In The House' was mixed live and features a mass of released and unreleased material, both from the young artist (such as the exclusive "Tribal Harmonix" featured above) and his peers alike. Drawing inspiration from the last 20 or so years in dance music, the mix focuses on the more Latin, tribal and percussive side of things but with a few curveballs – such as the infamous Stone Roses "Fools Gold" edit that finds it way so often into Melé’s sets and Primal Scream's "Don’t Fight It, Feel It (Scat Mix)". Armand Van Helden, Romanthony and Joeski also feature in the 2 hours of house madness, which is ultimately a showcase of Melé’s ability to ignite the dancefloor.

Melé’s 'In The House' mix is out on Vinyl via Defected Records Friday 27th July 2018 – pre-order here.
