This time of year turns the centre of London into party central. This weekend is Notting Hill Carnival, famous across the globe for its lively party atmosphere and great food; the carnival is the perfect way of bringing people from different backgrounds together. London's Livin' Proof crew have called upon a legendary hip-hop figure to headline their pre-carnival party. New York native Just Blaze has been one of the most prominent producers in hip-hop history, producing music for the likes of The Diplomats and more recently Kendrick Lamar. But arguably it's his work alongside one of raps living legends, Jay Z, that he's most fondly remembered for. Blaze produced some of Jigga's biggest hits, such as "Public Service Announcement", "Girls, Girls, Girls" and "Song Cry".

Blaze's work has recently seen him delve into the EDM side of music, with his track "Higher" which he co-produced alongside trap wonderkid Baauer. The song also features long term friend and collaborator Jay Z on the hook amongst some beefy basslines and has been a huge hit in the EDM world. Now, he brings with him to London a DJ set that is guaranteed to be full of bangers. This Livin' Proof event is the perfect way to warm up for the Notting Hill Carnival which takes places this Sunday and Monday. Previous Livin' Proof events have seen the likes of Danny Brown, A$AP Rocky and more recently Flatbush Zombies rock the stage and give those real party vibes. Just Blaze will set the main room alight supported by resident DJs Snips, Khalil, Rags and Budgie whilst the second room is all about those carnival and bashment vibes brought to you by Harmony, Jamrock, Kartel Brown and Motive. Add into the equation some extra surprises from Livin' Proof as they bring an end to their residency at the XOYO venue, this event is definitely not to be missed!
