Toronto's ever evolving dance music landscape has a rich history, and one company that has lived through these changes is Houseaddict, a local promotion crew dedicated to underground deep house and techno events. Just taking a look back this past year alone it's clear they've got the scene figured out; they had their inaugural summer experience at historic Sunnyside Pavilion which featured an opening night that people of Toronto won't soon forget. With the mega festival Digital Dreams shut down earlier that afternoon due to heavy rain and wind, the Houseaddict team and their partners forged on to hold an 800 person jam, a clear indication of the rock solid fan base these guys have carved out over the years.
Having just celebrated their 12 year anniversary (!) with a much anticipated Tube & Berger booking, the minds behind one of Toronto's long lasting event companies have been steadily keeping it forward thinking, booking quality acts that are making global surges as of late, including Fur Coat, Oliver Schories and multiple Keinemusik showcases with &ME, Adam Port and Rampa. Houseaddict is continuing to push the boundaries of what a music event should be. This Friday they are bringing back Jimpster after that epic June evening at Sunnyside for a night at Luanda House on Bloor. You can buy tickets here and arrive early to take in some of the city's finest local talent, including Sean Roman, Ali Black, Richard Brooks, and Dirty Decibels.
