Lightning in a Bottle Reveals Lineup for May 8-13 Festival at Buena Vista Lake in Central California

Lightning in a Bottle, North America’s premier independent music and arts festival, has revealed the lineup for its 2019 event, touching down at its new home of Buena Vista Lake in Central California, May 8-13.

Over the past fifteen years, Lightning in a Bottle has crafted its musical journey by bringing superstar talent and rising acts alike into the event’s singular communal experience. The result is a gathering unique to Lightning In A Bottle, a collaborative community of musicians, fans, artists, adventurers and the Do LaB’s globally renowned production prowess.

The 2019 LIB lineup is topped by the event’s flagship Lightning Stage which sees a finely tuned billing of live and electronic giants. The stage will feature performances by four-time Grammy nominated dance act Disclosure, a 3D experience by Flying Lotus, bass-music legend and saxophone wielding Big Gigantic, new-wave electronic singer Santigold, electro-pop darlings Toro y Moi and Elohim, Slovenian producer Gramatik, urban house upstart Channel Tres and more.

The festival’s house and techno haven, Woogie, will continue its legacy of bringing some of the world’s best 4/4 selectors to its day-into-night party atmosphere. 2019 Woogie acts include modern progressive icon Lane 8, Crosstown Rebels bossman Damian Lazarus, German producer DJ Koze, live techno mastermind Recondite, Berlin’s Rampue, Dirtybird favorites Shiba San and Escapade (Walker & Royce + Ardalan), Anjunadeep star Luttrell plus a slew of other vibe setting DJs.

Bass music will continue its domination of LIB’s Thunder Stage with blowout showings by some of the festival scene’s most celebrated acts. The Polish Ambassador will bring his unique, hip hop inspired live electronic sound to the stage alongside acts like studio wizard G Jones, the eclectic electronic stylings of CloZee, Alix Perez and EPROM’s Shades project, and bass scene leader OPIUO. The stage will also feature a takeover from LA’s white-hot Soulection crew of Joe Kay, Sasha Marie & Andres with many more low end specialists in tow.

The 2019 lineup announcement comes alongside a new chapter for LIB as it welcomes its family to the beautiful shores of Buena Vista Lake for the upcoming edition. The new location will offer attendees an upgraded experience in every sense with its lush grassy topography, thick shade trees, and swim-friendly shoreline. These idyllic qualities will create a more comfortable, easier to traverse, and above all, more intimate container in which the next chapter of LIB can flourish.

This next phase of the LIB saga arrives with a renewed focus on refining its core principles. Each member of the community is responsible for helping to bring the gathering’s spellbinding experience to life, creating a space for exploration and self-discovery. As such in 2019, Do LaB has created the 6 Ways of LIB: Celebrate Life, Create Community, Respect Yourself, Actively Participate, Honor The Land, Practice Good Citizenship.

2019 attendees can expect all the forward-thinking musical curation and environments, immersive installation art, and cause-driven educational programming that have come to define the Lightning in a Bottle experience. It is these experiential pillars that help Do LaB in its quest to foster a society driven by creativity, compassion, and change.
