Oh what a difference a year can make. Acclaimed avian masters of emotional dance music bitbird are back with the hotly anticipated follow-up to 2016's Gouldian Finch #01 compilation. Double the length of the OG and brimming with anthemic new tunes from members of the extended bitbird family, Gouldian Finch #02 is nothing short of a triumph for the young label founded in 2014 by San Holo. The Dutch imprint's growth in scope and esteem has never been more apparent than on this star-studded offering, featuring meteoric talent of the likes of Autolaser, DROELOE, Just A Gent, Ramzoid, Taska Black, and more.

“We hope by the time listeners reach the final notes of the explosive mega collab that closes GF2, they will have emerged out of a fantastical trek through the most interesting, fascinating parts of the electronic music world. Great music can come from anywhere and GF2 is our greatest effort to show current fans and new fans the possibilities their ears still need to hear. love, bitbird." Labels like bitbird momentarily transport me back to a time when I was just a raver, fueled only by my passion for the way dance music made my soul take flight. In these 22 tracks I can forget about deadlines and the ever-growing pile of unanswered pitches in my inbox, and be reminded of why the hell I do this in the first place.

Up next for San and co. is a label showcase on home turf at Amsterdam Dance Event October 19.
