Mark Knight curates a career-spanning Essential Mix

Mark Knight has made his intentions clear since jumping into the house music game in 2001. Since then, he's made an indelible imprint on the direction of house music, creating a haven for tech house and house producers at his Toolroom Records. Recently he announced a short film that also conveys his commitment to music and curation - Odyssey - enlisting other contemporaries and detailing out the love of a true DJ to his crafting of an extended performance. On the heels of this and a US tour hitting New York's Output this weekend, the UK industry veteran joined Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1 for a special Essential Mix. And while it can be argued that taking the helm at any Essential Mix is a milestone, this one was more meaningful to Knight as he took a journey through the music that has made him who he is throughout his career:

“This is the music that has shaped and influenced me, and made me the artist I am today”

Featuring everyone from De La Soul to Daft Punk, this Essential Mix is a great grounding moment for anyone.
