Imagine Festival is on the move. Welcoming close to 26,000 attendees in 2015 from across the country, from August 26-28, the festival will now be calling Atlanta Motor Speedway home. Over the last few years, Imagine has aimed to bring the best in electronic music to the regional southeast, and the lineup this year is the most spectacular yet, with names like Zeds Dead, Nero, Benny Benassi and Adventure Club headlining.
Hoping to make their 3rd year the best yet, Imagine recently announced they are teaming up with AQUA for a main stage takeover with their 3D water hologram production. Dancing water fountains and mesmerizing 3D images will float next to the headliners as they play out their set, and this year Imagine Festival and AQUA promise the most elaborate stage productions ever. In addition to a world-class water hologram show, the partnership gives back to third world countries. As one of the country’s last remaining independent festivals, Imagine is an all-encompassing, 360-degree sensory experience that blends music, circus troupes, performers, dancers, art, workshops, classes and more. Previous iterations of the festival took place in the heart of Atlanta, but it seems the promoters are now taking a page from EDC Las Vegas and moving the festival to Atlanta Motor Speedway this year. With the additional space (and optional camping) provided by the speedway, promoters are promising the biggest Imagine Fest yet… and I have no reason to doubt them.
