Experimental group Animal Collective just launched a video on their YouTube channel debuting a new Painting With App. It is a free iOS app that allows for people to collaboratively paint in real-time while previously unreleased track “Lying In The Grass” plays in the background. You can record, submit, and share your works of art through Twitter and Instagram, and when you use #PaintingWith the submissions will be displayed in real-time on https://www,myanimalhome.net

Lying In The Grass is the second single to be released off their forthcoming album Painting With, which is out February 19th via Domino Records and the single will see it’s official release next Monday, February 1st. Watch the trippy video for their first release off the album, “FloriDaDa”. The visuals are reminiscent of Brother Sport animation and the sound is indicative of earlier works like Strawberry Jam and Merriweather Post Pavilion.
