Following suit from its German contemporary TimeWarp, the leading Dutch techno festival Awakenings is on its way to North America. Owned by the company that owns Beatport as well as Electric Zoo and Tomorrowland, SFX Entertainment, Awakenings spent years bringing over 70,000 fans together for the love of the dance music sound, and debuted its London show to a sold out crowd last year. And this summer, it will now mark the occasion after 18 years of operation in Europe with a launch over Labor Day Weekend with a curated stage at New York City's Electric Zoo. With a line up and more west coast dates to be announced, fans can expect appearances from artists like Sven Väth, Adam Beyer and Richie Hawtin.
