The newly renovated historic Stadium of Forest Hills NY is re-opening to the music business after over 20 years of silence. The old tennis stadium will be headlining Brand New and Modest Mouse on August 9th 2014. Once graced by musical legends such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and Jimi Hendrix; the Stadium will host a select few this summer with Mumford and Sons playing the Grand Opening. This is an exciting announcement not only because of the nostalgic vibe of such a venue but because of the lineup itself. Brand New has never played in such a large venue but as a live act, they’re hard to beat. They have an intense, powerful sound matched only by their energy and stage presence. Modest Mouse will also be really interesting to see. With light and lively songs like "Float on" and "Missed the Boat" to more somber tracks like "Baby Blue Sedan" and "The Cold Part", it will be interesting to see what kind of energy they'll showcase with their track list for this show. Tickets go on sale May 1st 2014.
