Welcome back for this week's edition of Straight No Chase, your one-stop shop source for all things hip-hop here on EARMILK. This comprehensive weekly feature aims to share hip-hop based content we may have missed during the past week, while also highlighting memorable content we did cover. As any hip-hop head worth their salt knows, these days music floods the blogosphere by the millisecond. Consequently, the landscape of hip-hop is forever changing. Both established and up-and-coming rappers, as well as renowned and budding producers and beatsmiths, are dropping their fair share of dope music for the listening masses. It is our mission to mine the interweb for both audio and visual gems, delivering them straight to you for your auditory consumption. But enough with the jaw jacking: let's cut straight to the chase.
Straight Killer, No Filler
Though people may get the impression that music bloggers and writers are freaks of nature who robotically comb the Internet for music, never missing a beat, I am here to assure you that we to are fallible humans who in the process of bringing dope music to the masses, may miss a good banger or two along the way. This week's witnessed the release of the Big K.R.I.T. assisted lead single from up and coming hip-hop trio THEBLKHANDS, a dope Kanye West and Lana Del Rey mashup and a heavy-hitting track from Chicago street kings L.E.P. Bogus Boys.

Friday Flashback
Here's a five track flashback of some of the best hip hop covered this week on EARMILK. Take a couple of minutes to stroll down memory lane and revisit a handful of tracks brought to you earlier in the week. This week saw the release of two highly anticipated LPs from two Southern giants Big K.R.I.T. and Curren$y, the unexpected release of an instrumental mixtape from producer Clams Casino and the delivery of another banger from ATL duo Mach Five. So, for those who may have been snoozing at the wheel, here's your chance to play catch up:

VIDEO OF THE WEEK
Video of the Week honors go to Irish spitter Lecs Luther (aka Rejjie Snow) and the visuals for his cut "Meddling Loops", which also features London emcees Crave and Jesse James. Apart from the accompanying creatively animated vid, the Dublin-based emcee's laid back and precise flow coupled with the track's strong jazz-influenced production makes for the perfect chill hip-hop track. If you're not into the European hip-hop scene, "Meddling Loops" is a nice introduction to an underrated and criminally slept on segment of the global hip-hop scene.

PROJECT OF THE WEEK
Oddisee – People Hear What They See
Earlier in the week D.C. native and Mello Music Group artist Oddisee delivered his highly anticpated debut album. With an impressive discography already to his name, Oddisee's debut LP is the final product of many years of toiling and working to perfect his craft both on the mic and behind the boards. While most are familiar with his skills behind the boards, more than ever before Odd proves his worth as an emcee on his latest effort. Though time names like Big K.R.I.T. and Curren$y dominated hip-hop headlines this week, I thought it was important to spotlight Oddisee's debut LP and give him his deserved shine. The dual threat artist has become a bar-raiser in the world of underground hip-hop and has quite a promising career ahead of him. (Purchase)
