Philadelphia native Krueger's newest release, the 40oz Bounce EP, is sure to become a 2012 favorite. Following a very successful release from Bosstone on Netherlands-based Paradisiaca Records, 40oz Bounce reached #1 in the Juno Download UK Funky/UK Garage charts within two days. If that doesn't speak for itself, the tunes do, so dive into the preview and get to know your future pouring up anthems.
The title track pulls no punches, immediately touching down then taking off again with a flurry of acid bassline stabs and bubbling synths. "This Is Sick" kicks off on a slightly deeper note, with sexy pitched vocals repeating the track title before ascending into a mutated grime breakdown. The "ey!" samples add just the right dash of trap, a recurring theme with this release. The vibes peak on "Talk" with infectious Baby Bash vocals warped over galloping bass hits and cowbells.
With a perfect balance of ghetto club and trap vibes, all three original tracks are solid enough for one EP, but Krueger calls upon some big remixers to seal the deal. Make sure to peep the Baauer flip of "Talk." The name is not one to miss after being featured in Rustie's recent essential mix and signed to Diplo's Jeffree imprint.
