Ireland’s independent queer artist, Kayleigh Noble, releases her EP, BBKAY, a project many DJs and EDM fanatics will be playing at the club or at the house party.
Imagine Lady Gaga's vocals and Charli XCX's energy, the 25-year-old artist begins the night party with “Am I Asleep?” a more personal track on the EP, where Noble explains being indecisive about leaving a romantic relationship. In reality, the relationship is already over, and she is reminiscing on all the memories. “Am I asleep, or only see you when I’m dreaming. Don’t ever ask me what I think or how I’m feeling. Get out of my head,” Noble sings.
Although the relationship isn’t healthy, she is obsessed with the feeling, and the other person is stuck in her head, despite the toxicity. “Please don’t tell my friends. They think I deserve much more than you, but don’t get it. Is romance dead? how am I still standing?” she asks herself.
Bringing back the early ‘2000s pop and 2010 EDM eras, Noble continues with “Calvin Klein,” where she has finally moved on from this connection and tells the other person how they will no longer see her in their Calvin Klein underwear. “Wearing your Calvin Klein, I wear them like they’re mine. They look so good on me. If only you could see. I’d have you here right now. I’d have them on the ground. You’re always messing around, and now you’re missing out.”
The track will get you dancing before heading to the next party with “All Night,” where the listener’s sexy side may come out as Noble brings the heat and reveals her naughty side with lyrics,” If he’s your man, why is he ignoring you? A real man will pay for you. The right man won’t take from you. So bring your girls out. I’ll let my curls down.. . if you’re a hottie, come to the afterparty. Your arms are on me its what you always wanted."
If you want to stay up late and party with your friends, BBKAY has the songs that will give you energy and won’t let you sleep.
BBKAY also includes a remix version of Calvin Klein that may make the listener feel like they are at an EDM festival.
