Amsterdam-based singer-songwriter Django Duyns is back with an upbeat, catchy single. "When Will You Fade" follows Duyns' debut album, True Blue Vision, released in April of this year via Excelsior Recordings. The single picks up right where the album left off, curating a sound with wide-open spaces and soothing chords.
"When Will You Fade?" is produced by Marien Dorleijn; the single is very simplistic in its musical approach. The duration of the single manages to creep up in a way that makes the end worth it. Duyns uses his vocal range to paint with a stroke of folk blues charm.
Much like his previous projects, "When Will You Fade?" touches on unseated fear and human emotions. It's how Duyns uses his own unresolved issues to offer support and a common thread in his music. The follow-up single to True Blue Vision manages to elevate the project even more.
