Vancouver’s underground nightlife is entering a new chapter, led by creative entrepreneur and cultural organizer Kiarash Tk.

With a reputation for bringing together fashion, art, music, and technology, Kiarash has built a career on turning ambitious ideas into landmark events that redefine the city’s cultural landscape.

His resume stretches far beyond the nightlife scene.

From designing for London Fashion Week and creating couture gowns for Cannes Film Festival red carpets to curating Vancouver’s first NFT art gallery, Kiarash has consistently been ahead of the curve.

His productions have transformed some of the city’s most iconic venues, such as Science World, the Vancouver Aquarium, and the Vancouver Art Gallery, into immersive experiences. His fine art projects have even been showcased alongside masters such as Picasso, Dali, Chagall, and Warhol.

As Marketing Director of one of Canada’s largest nightlife venues, he has been at the center of Vancouver’s entertainment boom, producing over 300 events since 2022. His portfolio includes record-breaking projects such as Vancouver’s first and largest public drone show and the city’s biggest downtown gathering, which drew 40,000 attendees.

With Waves of Illusion, Kiarash is bringing that same entrepreneurial drive to the underground electronic scene, providing a platform for local DJs and collectives while raising the bar for immersive nightlife.

Following the success of the debut edition, Waves of Illusion II will take over the Harbour Event & Convention Centre on October 3rd, uniting 14 DJs and 11 music collectives for a night of music, visuals, and community.

The lineup features local artists such as 1ZERO, ARIA, CAMERON ST DENIS, GARFIELD DISCOTEQUE, GRAF, HAROLD, JORDAN GILL, KAM, KETAFERE, PITZ, RAANGEL, SKLA, OHRYAN, TARIKI, and TREVETHAN.

“Waves of Illusion is about more than just music,” Kiarash explains. “It’s about creating a space where artists, performers, and the community can connect through a shared immersive experience. This series reflects the creativity and passion at the core of Vancouver’s underground.”

With state-of-the-art visuals, multi-sensory installations, and a collaborative approach, Waves of Illusion II promises to set a new benchmark for what nightlife in Vancouver can achieve.
