The story behind the track stems from frontman Sean Martin’s time serving in Iraq, where one operation spiralled into something far beyond its intention, leaving destruction in its wake.
The chaos that followed set the foundations for “Skeleton Chair,” with the songwriter sharing, “It’s a song about a person falling in love with war, and the paradox that that truly is.
Sonically, “Skeleton Chair” is a collision of raw power and layered emotion. The verses pulse with a near-tribal beat before exploding into a classic rock ’n’ roll chorus, led by Martin’s rugged, full-throttle vocals.
