The album draws from his own personal experiences and a fight between "between the urge to open themselves up to love or give into jadedness, the latter of which sometimes seems like the only logical reaction to a conscientious modern existence"
The album ebbs and flows between, at times – joyful and energetic indie anthens such as "Freee", straight through to the more sombre moments of "The Danger" and "Frozen Inside" – it's an album that seems to speak on the duality of the self. Of the daily struggle to pull through or fall into a melancholy.

He blends taut, catchy pop songwriting, reminiscent of McCartney, with inventive musical sensibilities. Deceptively simple melodies travel over remote harmonic territory, bursting with horn and keyboard surges, before re-emerging world-weary. The record balances pop discipline with uninhibited personal expression, exemplified by tracks like “Doin’ It Wrong,” which navigates post-pandemic social anxiety, and “Freee,” a barnburner on narcissistic self-actualization.
The album distinguishes itself through its cinematic scope. The album's power lies in its sonic expansion and contraction, moving from intimate internal monologues on gossamer guitar to massive pop orchestrations.
