Aiwaska Blooms Boldly with “Flora Fauna”

Aiwaska has emerged with a new full-length offering titled "Flora Fauna. " This seven-track LP flourishes with deep house rhythms, melodic textures, and earthy introspection. On his plant label, the album is an opulent, spiritual trip, showing that Aiwaska is a pioneering force in a movement.

"Flora Fauna" is an artistic metaphor brought to life by Aiwaska. Based firmly in Deep House, with tendrils pushing out into Indie Dance and Melodic House, each tune flows seamlessly into the next to weave a complete, enrapturing musical world. The album hums with intent, blending tribal percussions, cosmic synths, lush basslines, and guest features that flit about like rare birds in an exotic forest.

Highlight, by a landslide, is “Love to Hate,” a smoldering hook-up with Aquarius Heaven. It’s a trance-like, vocal-driven groove, one that tussles with our dual selves as humans, and it reveals the Aiwaska knack for tying emotion and dance-floor heft in knots. “Forever Dance” is just as entrancing, a swirl of heavenly vocals and beats so prettily irresistible that it could easily shoot you up into the sky, one of the album’s most replayable keystones. Guiding Aiwaska on this exploration are noted contributors such as Prana Flow, Megane Mercury, JAW, and Thomas Gandey. Each of whom contributes to this body of work while also contributing to Aiwaska's palette. It’s a testament to his knack for balancing different energies while not straying far from his signature, spiritually anchored sound.

But "Flora Fauna" is also a mission. Through his new Aiwaska Planet Project, the artist harnesses his aural output to raise awareness for environmental causes, using the power of music, art, and community action to advance an eco-conscious mission. In an industry that can frequently be ego-driven, Aiwaska’s attitude is a welcome change of pace. Just past the 30-minute mark, Flora Fauna is a deeply intentional experience perfect for sunrise reflections, underground dance floors or tapping into something bigger than you. In an increasingly noisy world, Aiwaska asks us to listen deeper. And it’s felt. And in its simple might, it says so much.
