Celebrating a decade since their breakthrough single “Atlantis”, Yorkshire duo Seafret unveil  rousing new single “River of Tears,” marking a foray into more vibrant musical waters. Exploring the heartbreak of a doomed relationship and the struggle to accept its inevitable end, the track is rooted in their signature emotional intensity while still expanding their sonic palette.

The duo explain, “We originally wrote this on piano but found the darker production worked so well we had no choice but to go for it. This song was a turning point for the album and even a little for us as writers. It isn’t a style of song we’ve done in the past but it feels like we’ve opened a door to somewhere new and exciting.”

Led by cinematic storytelling and a rich yet atmospheric sonic world, the track gives us an enticing peek into Seafret’s new musical chapter. Coupled alongside a May UK tour on the horizon, Jack Sedman and Harry Draper are gearing up for their next full-length release brimming with their familiar yet fresh style.
