Swoovi drops his electric new single, “What The Beat Say”

Despite the chilly temperature, Kansas City’s very own Swoovi gets 2025 started with his fresh, banging new single, “What The Beat Say.” A genre-bending master of jazz, rock, pop, and blues, this song is not just music; it reflects evolution as an artist and collaborator.

On this release, Swoovi stepped outside his creative box, swapping his signature solitary creative process for a studio-based experience with Grammy-nominated producer Brandon Black. Black’s challenge to “create in the moment” released a new, kinetic side of Swoovi’s artistry, leading to a track that throbs spontaneity and breath. Add in fiery guitar work from Mitch Craven and a stinging lyrical feature from local rapper TrillyVanGo, and you will have a song that moves like a kinetic burst of energy destined to light up dance floors.

From strong guitar riffs to Swoovi’s signature sultry melodies, “What The Beat Say” balances his energetic beats with a rich sense of artistry. The single embodies the essence of Swoovi’s journey, an artist who emerged from a background of bands and choirs to develop a sound distinctly Swoovi.

Apart from the music, Swoovi’s journey is one of resilience and mission. Having a non-verbal autistic twin and experiencing his journey through mental health, Swoovi is passionate about making a difference and advocating for special education and awareness related to mental health.

As “What The Beat Say” becomes his latest notch, Swoovi continues to gain ground. Whether touring with larger acts or expanding his label, his course is obvious: onward and upward.
