Bilingual alternative indie artist Neito Han released his new single, “Out There,” Monday night.
The second original song from Nathan Sharp’s newest project was originally announced to be released Tuesday but ended up coming out a day early.
It is easy to see why Sharp was so eager to release this one. The lyrics of “Out There,” sung in both English and Japanese, acknowledge the importance of hardship in life and pay tribute to a loved one who has brought him out of his own struggles. Before meeting them, he felt lost and aimless, but now he feels like he is home with them. He ends by encouraging the listener that they can find someone like that for themselves.
Musically, the song builds in its first verse, beginning with a low piano backdropping bouncy guitars, until the chorus breaks the remainder of the song out into an upbeat pop rocker with fast drums, twinkling synths, and bright-sounding keys that will have listeners pumping up their fists to the beat.
After leaving the past behind on “Good Luck, Stranger,” Han sounds the most optimistic he has ever been on “Out There,” and for fans old and new, it is decidedly earned.
